I am new to this list and thought instead of just "lurking" I'd post my family of interest and hope that someone would recognize it. Drury Jackson was born in (probably) Brunswick Co., VA Feb. 2, 1745 and married Ann (Nancy) Mayfield b. c 1749 in Warren Co., NC, in 1768. Drury died February 20, 1794 in Wilkes Co., GA). Ann (Nancy) died November of 1837 in Wilkes Co., GA. Drury was a Revolutionary War Patriot serving in the Militia from Warren Co., NC under Elisha Clark. Their children that I know of were Elizabeth who m. George Muse; John, b. c. 1773; Hartwell, b. July 5, 1777, m. 1st. Luticia Elizabeth Bostwick on Jan. 13, 1801) 2nd. Margaret Bradford; Wyche, Feb. 23, 1780, m. 1st. Mary Polly Dyer 2nd. Nancy Ann Prather; Edmund; Nancy Ann, b. 1786; m. William Thomas; and Greene (could his other name have been Stephen?). I am looking for the family of Stephen Jackson who married Jane "Jimmy" Brooks in Greene Co., GA in 1805. According to the 1850 census he was born in NC 1780 and Jane was born in Virginia. >From this point on I have a good bit of information on this family which I am willing to share.
