    3. Is there someone out there who could tell me how to find out if there was a deed of land made by David Gill to his daughter Elizabeth "Betsey" Gill after she married Moses Neal in January 1785 in Warren Co? The deed may have been for land in Warren Co, but possibly in Wake Co (see below). I live in Texas, so can't do personal research in the NC archives and will really appreciate any help. David Gill of Warren Co. purchased land in <Wake Co> in 1784, the year before Elizabeth "Betsey" married in <Warren Co>. Apparently he didn't move the family to Wake Co at the time he purchased the land, since Elizabeth married in Warren. David must have moved to Wake Co. at some time though, because when he died between January and July in 1788, four years after purchasing the land, his will had been recorded and was probated in Wake Co. In his will, he gave land to his other children, but only a money gift to Elizabeth, leading to the conclusion that she had received her legacy when she married. So, I would assume that a deed to Betsey had been filed in either Warren or Wake Co sometime between 1785 and 1788, but most likely closer to 1785, and it may have been made to Elizabeth Neal or to her husband Moses Neal. Will appreciate comments. Dolores Kinsey
