There is a book with an old map of early settlers ,I saw it once in the Fairfax Va main library that mainly covered Granville County plus some others. It had a lot of Daniels on it.ARL

I saw alot of request from people asking you questions on how to get a copy of the map or it a certain family was listed. I did not want to bug you at that time and this is not a good either, but the message below remind me that I wanted to ask where I could get a copy of the map and dates or find a couple of names. I am looking for the surnames of Porter, Tharrington and Timberlake Please, I apologize in advance if I have the wrong person. sometimes Riggins is found as Regan or Riggan etc...but for this time and place Art is right, it is Riggins...from about 1740 or so, the spelling seemed to stabilize in NC if not elsewhere. Art, I assume you have for some reason discounted the Jane Washington-Charles Riggins supposition for parents? Maryellen
Hi Jim, Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! If you had not posted the SYMANTEC URL listed below, I would not have had verification that the "odd-ball" msg to me from me with an attachment shown as GADGET.EXE is a VIRUS. The wording in the msg was: Opps, I can't list the URL that was shown because it keeps highlighting, but it was in colour and mentioned: Stuart and message mates. The rest of the msg was: "Hypercool Happy New Year 2000 funny programs and animations. We attached our recent animation from this site in our mail. Check it out". It came to me through the another genealogy list as a reply. The sender was shown as Me and recipient was shown as ME. My addy was used in both locations and I knew I hadn't sent any msgs. to anyone, let alone myself. Oddly enough though, I did 2 on-line scans and neither one found it. However, I did delete the msg and then emptied the trash. Did not open it. There is a large list of .exe files that this virus is using, please be careful. Hi Art, MAYBE Riggans was spelled Regan/Regans, Reagan/Reagan, originally? Just a thought. Who are the descendants of the John Harris who married someone named Rachael (poss Kittrell) -- thought to be son of Richard Harris who married Margaret Kimbrough? Does this Harris line have a relationship to the George Harris + Keziah Earl line? Thanks for any help with this. I am getting a bit confused. --Sandy [email protected] NCVance: http://lightning.prohosting.com/~ncvance/ >

Greetings Group. I have the research of Lewis Jones descendant of Epps L Jones and Lavania Johnson Harris (daughter of John Early Harris and Sally Bobbitt). He discusses the Randolph/Randall family he descended from. In his writings he says the following: The Randolph -Randall - Randle named persons who migrated form Brunswick County Virginia to Warren County North Carolina were of the Perer Randall and his wife Olive Green Randall family. Peter Randall, the father, was baptized May 29, 1740 in Albemarle Parish, Virginia. Albermarle Parish records show that the children of Peter and Olive Randall who were baptized there were: Mary, born January 15, 1761 Sponsors: William Yarbrough, Mary Yarbrough, B. Rutherford John, born October 10, 1746 Sponsors: Fred Green, John Powell, Mary Tucker Frances, born Dcember 29,1766 Sponsors: Peter Green, Elizabeth Green, Lucy Harwell Peyton, born January 4, 1769 Sponsors: Unlisted Elizabeth, born March 18, 1771 Sponsors: Nathaniel Dunn, Elizabeth Vaughn, Mary Hewett Polly, born September 3, 1773 Sponsers: Isam Smith, Anne Gibbens, Elizabeth Parham Peter Randall - Randolph, born November 23, 1750, married July 30, 1773 Frances, daughter of James Parham. He died July 29, 1786 of tuberculosis, contracted while in the Army during the American Revolution. This Captain Peter Randall was the son of George Randall and his wife Elizabeth who lived in Surry County Virginia. One of his children lived in Warren County North Carolina at the same time that the Peter and Olive Green Randall family lived there. Is there anyone out there that can provide more information on either Epps Jones or the Randolph/Randall family. Happy Holidays Stay Well Macon

Norma, I am confused by your message. Which John Harris are you saying married a Rachael? Are we speaking of the same John Harris, father of George Harris who married Keziah Earl? (i.e., the John Harris who, according to Thurston Titus Hicks, married Elizabeth Watts - supposed sister of Isaac?) I'm not defending T.T. Hicks' research, just trying to make sure I've got the right Harris line here. According to T.T. Hicks in "Sketches" (and i have not attempted to prove any of this), John Earle marrried Zebiah Watts. (He says John Earle was the brother of Keziah Earle who married George Harris). In Sketches, T.T. Hicks lists as the children of John Earle and Zebiah Watts: 1) Martha or "Patsy" - married William Kittrell 2) Mary - married Robert Jones 3) Sarah or "Sally" - married James Crews 4) Jack Ear4l married Fanny Rice and moved to Tennessee 5) Sims died young So I am confused as to this Mary Elizabeth Watts you list as married to John Earl. Is this the same as the Zebiah Watts T.T. Hicks lists? If T.T. Hicks says who Zebiah's parents are, I can't find it. I also can't find what, if any, relationship Zebiah had to the Elizabeth Watts (supposed sister of Isaac) whom T.T. Hicks says was Johb Harris' wife. Thanks for any help with this, Sandy [email protected] ----------- [email protected] wrote: > > There is a book by Shirley Jones Mallard called "Our Partenia" about the > daughter of Samuel Duty and Frances O'Kelly Harris.
