Does anyone have the 1860 Census for Warren County - Sandy Creek District that can do a lookup for me? Dawn
Hi Interested in the Hall line mentioned in this e-mail. I am looking for the parents of John R. Hall who married Caroline Collins in Georgia about 1836-37. He is connected to the Hall's from N.C. Any help from anyone is appreciated. Faye Swain, Hall, Vick,McWilliams
HI I don't think I have Pate cousins in Iowa altho I dohave Hall cousins. We have some barnes cousins in Wmson Co Tn. One that comes to mind is my cousin Joyce Turnage married Wm Barnes. In Warren Co my relative was James Harrison and a brother Nathaniel Harrison. There wre two sisters I can't think of their names right now. We have been to Warrenton and found deeds. I believe their parents to be Gabriel & Sarah Blick Harrison of Brunswick VA. I can' find a connection with NC & Brunswick. I hope to go to Warrenton later this year. (our daughte lived in NC) Perhaps I know more now and the Blick name will help with the connection. Her father or brother was guardian of the children. Hel left them property also. It is so frustration but at the same time so much fun looking. My husband the Rosses don't have enoough relatives to count on one hand but we Pates are another story we married everybody. Lovers not fighters I guess. Hello- I've found my ggg grandmother on the 1850 census for Warren County and it said that she was born in Iredell County. On this list she has last name of the man whom she married (who is not listed at this time, he must have been deceased) and I'm trying to find out how to get on a Iredell Mailing List. I've tried the main page in RootsWeb, but mailing list are broken out into surnames. Can anyone point me in the right direction or does anyone have a list of births from Iredell County abt. 1806? Thanks, Dawn Brown Richardson [email protected]

Try http://www.cyndislist.com/nc.htm#Queries for censuses. This may help. Also, try the Library (s) of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, Family Research Centers.
Mike, the booklet you looked at was probably "Perkinson Kin" by Quay Hawks Robinson. Henry Hawks didn't die in 1861 after all, despite what the book said. He moved to Arkansas and died while in the Confederate Army. Karna Webster

Some of the larger genealogy libraries have these records, too. I know that even though we have the State of NC Archives here in Raleigh, the local genealogy library has them. too. Hi Dawn, Patsy or Pattie was definitively used as a nickname for Martha. I don't know why but you have Martha Washington was called Pattie, Martha Jefferson was called Pattie. In my own case, both of by grandmothers were named Martha and both called Pattie. Guess where my name came from - Pat Nelson [email protected] Dawn Richardson wrote: > Hello, > Can anyone tell me if the name Patsy or Patsey was ever used in short for Martha.
