One LONGTIME brick wall is CHARLES A.HOOD of Wake County who married ELIZA ELLINGTON ((dau of JESSE ELLINGTON)) in 1803. She died c 1810 and he married her sister SALLY ELLINGTON. The bondsman for the first marriage was THOMAS HOOD, Jr. . MALACHI HINTON was bondsman for the second marriage. There seems to be little doubt that CHARLES A. HOOD and THOMAS HOOD, Jr. were somehow related. BUT HOW???? And was there issue to CHARLES A. HOOD"s marriages to either of the ELLINGTON sisters??? IF anyone could kindly help me with either of these two questions I might discover the parentage of my ggrandfather CHARLES HENDERSON HOOD who was born in North Carolina and died in after 1880 in Dyer, Weakley or Obian County., Tennessee.I would be most happy to share any and all information I have about the Hoods and Ellingtons with anyone who requests it. I thank anyone for the least bit of information.
