Has anyone found anything more than Simon DRAKE and Patience GREGORY in marriage records, 1 May, 1817 in Wake Co? I am against the wall, grinding my wheels on them. I think I find a tidbit, like their marriage is recorded in the LDS membership sheets submitted by a PRITCHETT with other GREGORYs, RICEs, JACOBSs of various counties in NC, but then I can't move a bit after that. I still haven't found the connection to the main surname in this grouping, the RICEs, but with several Gregorys mentioned and only one Drake (my Simon) I suspect the connection is thru the Gregorys. But how? Does anyone know of RICE/GREGORY connections in NC? Shirley Maynard
