Oh, I forgot to say, that the counties of the Wautauga, as they existed in NC. were Washington, Green and Sullivan, until 1784 when the State of Franklin was created. In 1788, they become NC counties again. But, there were two sets of records kept. By both entities. If you really care, I can send you more info about it all.
