I had a relative who died while in Bryce Hospital outside Tuscaloosa, Alabama. When I was looking for info for her, I wrote the hospital... and for a fee got a copy of her complete medical records, along with copies of personal letters that had been written to her. Seem to remember that the person you were researching had to have died at least 50 years ago, and you had to show you were surviving kin.
