I'm sorry; but I don't have a copy of the will. The information in the file states: "Thomas Browne, the founder of this branch of the Browne family, and his three brothers, Dr. Jesse, Randall and another brother whose name we do not have, emigrated from England to Southampton County, Virginia, in 1737. Thomas Brown's will was probted in 1765 in what was then Jerusalem, but is now Courtland, in Southampton County, Virginia. The name of his wife is unknown. Dr. Jesse Browne was a prominent doctor and must have been quite willing to serve all who were sick, whether they had money to pay for his services or not. His brothers and he built a hospital at or near Jerusalem, where Doctor Jesse could and did treat those who were not able to pay. Dr. Jesse Browne had one son, Jesse, Jr., of which we have record. There was also a Daniel Brown, who was a son of one of the above, who married Patience Vick on January 16, 1783, who was the daughter of William and Martha Boykin (Or Martha Burwell) Vick. (She was the grand-daughter of William Vick, Sr., and the great-grand-daughter of Josept Vick.) Thomas Browne's children, of which we have record, were: 1. Jesse, who married Esther Stephenson, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Stephenson, Sr. Jesse made his will September 24, 1977. It was presented in court by his wife, Esther, on November 8, 1781. Their children were: A. Henry Browne B. Sally Browne C. Thomas Browne 2. Sarah Browne 3. Tabitha Browne 4. Martha Browne, who married James Allen A. Henry Browne, son of Jesse Browne, born in Southampton County, Virginia, in 1764 moved to Wake County, North Carolina, where he married Lucy Womack (daughter of Benjamin Womack), who was born in 1769 and died in Wake County, December 3, 1844. They were married about 1789. Henry Browne died in Wake County, July 1, 1849." I am somewhat confused here as to the pick up of Henry Browne, son of Jesse Browne being listed as 4. A. after Martha Browne, who married James Allen. I will try and decipher this or either possibly type the whole several pages as a document exactly as is in the folder and sent out to Rootsweb. I hope that this small amount of information can give you an idea if this is the family that you are interested in.
