Thanks to Hope Blackford for sharing the following: A hand written, three page letter, filled with the complaints of the Director of The North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station in Raleigh, Chas. W. Dabney, Jr., Ph. D. On September 8th, 1886, he writes to a physician in Lynchburg, Virginia. He explains that his wife has been very ill, and apologizes for being late in responding to the doctor. Watson Photographic Studio in Raleigh, North Carolina. One is of a nicely dressed little, blonde girl sitting in a chair . The other is of a distinguished looking gentleman in a suit. There is a slight pink to each of their cheeks.
