John, Do you know anything about this "volunteer" website? It doesn't seem to be affiliated with the NC or USGenWeb Project or any of the non- profit genealogy projects. The "about" page says the website belongs to someone named "Allen Dew," and that "Allen started collecting cemetery records from several sources in 1995 and 1996. A few years later, Allen published these records on the Internet." http://cemeterycensus.com/about.htm Just wondered if you have any clue who "Allen Dew" is. I've never heard of, or from him, but interestingly, I see that I'm one of the "volunteers" and/or the "several sources" he's collected from. Wonder whether any of the other "volunteers" or "sources" have heard from him? -Sandy On Feb 24, 2007, at 10:45 AM, "John" <ram24@wave-net.net> wrote: > Be reminded that this a volunteer project and not all cemeteries > have been > surveyed and listed. I have contributed some of the listings to Allen Dew and he is, in fact, a real person. The information originated on the NC-DOGS website and he was the person that kept it updated from my understanding and with the listing so large it is now linked on the NC-DOGS website (http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncdogs/). He does a lot of work to keep this site up to date and running. I really appreciate all he has done as it has been a very helpful website for myself. Hope this will help answer some of the questions about the cemetery listings. Marie Cooke
