Does anyone on the list know which NC State department handles cemetery removals? There are 44 unmarked graves in Oakwood Cemetery, Section A, that were moved from the Cope family cemetery in 1985. There were only two marked graves: a young boy, and John Cope, who is my 3rd great grandfather. I would like to know where the original cemetery was located. I have other early Wake Co ancestors who were also buried in family cemeteries that apparently were moved or no longer exist.
