    1. Re: [NCWAKE] Hunters in Wake County
    2. I too am looking into the Hunter/Jones family but for different reasons. This is what I have. Isaac 'Tavern Owner Crabtree Creek' Hunter, Jr., brother to Theophillus Hunter, Sr.. married Rebecca Hart. Does anyone know who her parents were? They had a son, Alexander Hunter, who married Frances Ally Jones, February 24, 1798, Wake Co, NC. Who was her parents? Their daughter, Frances T. Hunter, married Joseph Burwell Jones, December 07, 1816, Wake Co, NC. His parents were Francis Nathaniel 'Of White Plains' Jones and Rachel Perry. ======================== Alsey Hunter, son of Isaac 'Of Swift Creek' Hunter, married Charlotte Jones, January 08, 1810, Wake Co, NC. Her father was Levi Jones. Their daughter, Nancy Ann Hunter, married William Eldridge Smith, February 12, 1834, Wake Co, NC. This is the line that I am researching. William's parents were Thomas Smith and Barbary Jones, who married December 04, 1797, Wake Co, NC. I am looking (forever) for her parents. With all these Jones married about the same time and same place, one would think that there was a connection. ===================== I have never found who Barbary Jones parents were but there was a Bondsman: Burwell Jones for their wedding. Any ideas? ================ Reuben Bonahan Hunter, Sr., brother of Theophillus Hunter, Sr., married Sarah Speight and had several children with name of Burrell Hunter, Isaac 'Of Swift Creek' Hunter (Father of Alsey Hunter listed above), Whitmell 'Whitney' Hunter, Theophillus Hunter, Dempsey Hunter, Cader 'Cad' Hunter, Needham Hunter, Sarah Hunter, Lydia Hunter, Elizabeth Hunter, Patience Hunter, Mary Hunter, Winnifred 'Winnie' Hunter, and Reuben Bonahan Hunter, Jr.. ================== Helen ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
