To all of you who have been conversing about Theophilus Hunter: Does anyone have any knowledge of a James and Robert Hunter who moved to Rutherford County, TN before 1840? OR: Do you know of any relationship in Wake County between the Hunters and any JONES family? In Rutherford County, my Matthew and Sarah Jones, and their relative William Jones resided close to Robert Hunter. DARLING Jones, son of Matthew, witnessed the sale of a slave from Robert Hunter in 1841. Other families associated with them were the THORNs, SMITHs, and WARDs. Some children of these Rutherford Jones were named Samuel PASCHALL , ANDERSON, and ABEL. I'm trying to discover the NC county of origin for my Matthew and Sarah Jones, so in light of the surname, I have to follow associated families. Nancy
