A James Redding and two Francis Reddings appear in the 1790 Wake County census. I am somewhat confused about this census. Ancestry.com indicates that these Reddings were in fact in Caswell County, and the census was made from a reconstructed tax list. Other sources simply say Wake County. Can the exact location of these families be determined by the census? Can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks. Sam Redding
