Hello list(s) I have just added a new section to the Chatham Co., page. I've extracted all the free blacks in the first half of the 1850 census and listed them separately, and the families they were enumerated with. It makes it much easier to find them and see the relationships. Hope this will help some one who is searching for their ancestors of black or mixed heritage. I am asking for anyone who has old bible records that have the slaves listed in the bible, to please contact me with the information. I have quite a few names in an old bible that I have access to and plan on extracting that. I would like to have any other that you would be willing to send me..
