Dear MeiToi, I have the ancestor, Amelia Robertson, who married Solomon Terrell. She was born 5 Feb. 1755 in North Carolina. She married 29 Sept. 1778 in Wake County, NC, and died 20 August 1798. These dates and names are entered in the Bible of Solomon Terrell. Now here is the problem. I can not find a solution to it. A gentleman has entered the information in the Ancestral File that Amelia's maiden name was Spain, and that her first husband was Richard Robertson. He states her first two children were Polly Baugh Robertson and Elizabeth Robertson. I contacted the gentleman but could not get any references or reasons to back up his material. He had the information on Solomon's ancestry all wrong in places. As you know, tracing our women ancestors can be very difficult. If anyone can help me with my Amelia, I would truly be grateful! I would like to know if I have a Robertson or a Spain line. Betty
