I am a Strickland researcher. I was trying to get the names of John and Ruthy's children in order to get some clues about who Ruthy's paternal grandparents might be. I saw your posting in the archives of the Perry list. Do you have any additional information? Do you know exactly where Ruthy's parents were living in Wake Co. when they married? One researcher has said her mother was Mary Crudup Perry. Does this mean she first married a Perry and then Matthew Strickland? Was she connected to Josiah Crudup? And who were Mary's parents? Any help you could give would be appreciated.
