Can someone familiar with the Wendell area tell me the location of terms of street names of the Wendell Municipal Cemetery? I have a Wake Co. road atlas, and I see a cemetery labeled Wendell Cemetery in the angle formed by East St. and Academy St. on the west side of Wendell, north of Wendell Park. Would this be it? There are also a number of smaller unnamed cemteries marked in the atlas. I tried looking up both "Wendell Municipal Cemetery" and "Wendell Cemetery" on MapQuest, but it didn't recognize either name. In the Wake Co. Heritage Book the section on William Oscar Todd mentions that he purchased almost 500 acres of land from Gibson Pearce in 1849, some of which now comprises the Wendell Municipal Cemetery. Thanks.
