    1. [NCWAKE] AARON PERRY
    2. marianne dillow
    3. List, First of all Allen Co., Ky was formed out of Warren Co., Ky and those counties are across the state line that was in dispute between Ky and Tn for several years and very close to Sumner Co., Tn. . I believe they refer to it as Walker's Line. My Aaron Perry according to census records was born in Ky 1816-1819. He married Rebecca Ann Cushenberry and died in Allen Co., Ky in 1885. The 1880 Allen Co. Ky census states his father was born in NC and his mother in VA. The Cushenberry surnane in earlier generations has not yet been proven to the Quisenbery names below but they all came from VA to KY and are believed to be kin. I have the following Perry data that has associations in Wake Co., NC and Sumner Co., Tn.: (1) In Wake Co., NC Mar 1797 A deed from Aaron Perry to James Fort was proved of Benton Powell a witness...... there was a Benton Powell connected to Francis Perry in Wake Co., NC (2) June 1797 Sarah Perry wife of Francis Perry Rich Land Creek 218 acres Nathaniel Jones, Joel King, John Hinton, Jr., Henry Seawell. (3) In Sumner Co., TN under Wilson Co., Tn Deed Book A it states " Aaron Perry of Sumner County to William Thomas of Sumner County a tract of land on the West Fork of Barton's Creek. 12 December 1799.. pp 85-88. Under the Census of the Cumberland Settlements it names Leon Perry 1789 on a jury ; Sion Perry witnessed deed of William Edwards, Nov. 1789 Bondsman for Reubin Martin and Jeremy Kuynendal. In Sumner Co., Tn. I have the following deeds : 1782 Leon Perry 1789 Sion Perry & Reubin Martin ; 1793 Sion Perry & Freeman Haynes 1794 Sion Perry & Henry Vinson 1799 Aaron Perry & John Quisenberry 1799 Aaron Perry & B. Burrel Perry, Rutherford Co. Tn. Census P. In Wake County there was a William Perry 1 Mar 1760 300 acres in Granville County SCC one was Joseph Right and in Sumner Co., Tn. 8 Oct 1799 Leon Perry to Richard Boice $1000 through Perry's Attorney, John Right, 134 acres signed also Thomas Perry. This is some of what I have. Maybe someone can add something to this. I do feel that my Aaron Perry (2nd great grandfather) that married Rebecca Cushenberry is descended from these Perry's. The people who lived in Sumner Co., Tn and in Warren and Allen Co., Ky crossed the Ky / Tn state line all of the time. If anyone can add to this please get in touch with me. Marianne Dillow Illinois

    3. Hi Jeremy and Diane Keiser! I too have been working on the Pollard family. My problem lies with one Frances E. Pollard who was my third gr grandmother. I have very strong suspicions that she was the daughter of Joshua Pollard and Elizabeth Reavis. What I know from census records is that my Frances Pollard was born in NC about 1825. She married Richard Murry, year unknown. They lived in VA, then Nashville, TN, and finally ended up in Dubois County, IN about 1860. Frances died in Dubois about 1883 and Richard died in 1893. Death years are taken from a gravestone. I've corresponded with Diane before. She's been a big help on the Pollards. I just can't seem to get anything definitive on Frances being a child of Joshua and Elizabeth. It's good to find somebody else working on this family. 2. I'm a direct line descendant of Etheldred "Dread/Dred" Pollard and Lucinda "Cinda" Smith of Wake and Johnston Co, NC. Unfortunately, I don't have any info on their son, Barsilla Pollard. Will be glad to share with you what info I do have. 1. [NCWAKE] Introduction- Pollard surname
    2. Jeremy Brock
    3. Hello, I don't believe I've introduced myself. My name is Samuel Jeremy Brock. My Wake county line comes from the Pollard family. I believe Barzillai/Barsilla/Barzillia Betts Pollard, born circa 1845, was my gg-grandfather. In later records he is known as BB or as in the 1910 census Balzilba (a misspelling). I believe he was from the Oak Grove area before it went to Durham. As far as I have been able to determine his father was Joshua Pollard, a shoemaker, and his mother Elizabeth Revis/Reavis, a seamstress. Some related surnames are Goodwin and possibly Betts as there is a "Barzillia/Barsilla Betts" who never leaves NC. Also, BB had a brother, if I'm right, Joshua Hinton Pollard. It seems Hinton could be an ancestor's surname as well. My BB served in the 14th NC Infantry, Co "E" as he shows up in the pension records for Crockett county TN where I know he lived. He switched between Crockett and Madison counties between about 1870 and 1920. I would appreaciate any information on the Pollards and realated lines of Wake county and who may be Joshua Sr's father-Major, William, etc. Sincerely, Jeremy Brock __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 3. I was afraid that was what had happened. I never realized Glenwood was into genealogy, but I have known him for over 20 years. He lived 2 doors up and was a regular photofinishing customer for years when I was still working. When I was pulling out of my drive Thursday EMS and 3 city police cars flew by here and stopped in front of his house. At first I didn't think it was Glenwood as they all stopped 2 doors up and got out, but then they quickly came back down the street to Glenwoods. He was a really nice guy with a huge sense of humor. He never failed to toot his horn and wave when he would see me on my porch as he went by. Well, that's two good friends and neighbors, who were also genealogists, that I have lost in the last few months. Glenwood Dupree and Bob Butler. 3. Have you tried Raleigh based Lulu.com? I've published several perfect bound books through them. Their on demand printing is awesome, with a turn around of about 7-10 days.
