I am searching information & family of Morris EVANS. On 7 Aug 1778 Morris EVANS made entry for 200 acres of land on Great Lick Creek in Wake Co. NC. ( north-west area) I know of 1 son, Jordan EVANS that md: Delilah REYNOLDS in Wake Co. on 21 Nov 1805. Morris may have had a dau Levina that md: Curtis SNELLING on 7 Aug 1811. Has anyone found anything more than Simon DRAKE and Patience GREGORY in marriage records, 1 May, 1817 in Wake Co? I am against the wall, grinding my wheels on them. I think I find a tidbit, like their marriage is recorded in the LDS membership sheets submitted by a PRITCHETT with other GREGORYs, RICEs, JACOBSs of various counties in NC, but then I can't move a bit after that. I still haven't found the connection to the main surname in this grouping, the RICEs, but with several Gregorys mentioned and only one Drake (my Simon) I suspect the connection is thru the Gregorys.
