Over several years, I've narrowed down my ancestor's homestead (ca 1780-1820) to an area in western Union (Mecklenburg) between the two forks of Crooked Creek. I have several deeds that reference adjacent property owners at the time, but the property references are pretty vague. Anyone familiar with title searches or deed research in Union this far back?
