Can anyone out there tell me how to go about getting help restoring cemeteries, or who takes care of Wesley Chapel cemetery? There are graves that need to be filled in and markers that need repair. The old FINCHER cemetery is located off Newtown Road on Crane Road. It is at the back of a field in a grove of trees. It is in SAD condition. The markers are broken, lying flat, many missing. I have a list, recorded in 1958, of those that are buried there. Some of the markers can still be read and could be reset. It is just hard to get back to the cemetery (impossible to walk in with cement, shovels, etc.). We would need a 4 x 4 to reach it. The land is presently in real estate and has a chain across the entrance. The agent said he would meet with us and unlock the chain to let us pass. Thanks for any suggestions or comments.
