Mosley Rogers was my grgrgrandfather. He was born April 4, 1826 and died in Wilmington NC August 15, 1863 as a result of typhoid fever in the army hospital. His wife was Elizabeth Matilda Henegar born August 30, 1833 and died May 1, 1915. They are buried at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe NC. Elizabeth Matilda Henegar's parents were Jacob Henegar and Mary Pardue Henegar. Jacob was born in 1814 and died in 1866. Mary was born abt 1818 and died April 1871. They are buried next to Mosley and Matilda Rogers at Shiloh Cemetery. Jacob's and Mary's children were: Elizabeth Matilda 1833 Nancy 1836 . Vicy A. 1837 Margaret 1842 Henrietta 1843 John 1847. Mary Jane married Jehu Secrest . Mary Jane was born March 1, 1838 and died July 23, 1914. Both Matilda and Mary Jane died blind. I have a picture of Matilda, my grgrgrandmother. Suda 1851-1947 Suda never married. She is buried at Shiloh. I have the Confederate Army papers for Mosley and also the last letter he wrote to Matilda befoe he died.
