Both my parents were from Mecklenburg and Union Counties. My father, MEDLIN, was born and raised in Mint Hill/Monroe/Goose Creek. We have researched all of our family lines from there, except that of my mother's side - WILLIAMS - which is very hard to do. I have some data, but have yet to get into the DUNCAN, CROWELL (I have received extensive data but have not gotten through it all as yet), BIVENS (also received lots of data), and KISIAH families yet. I have visited Monroe twice for delving into records and have been helped so much by THE HERITAGE ROOM. The Monroe Public Library also has lots of books on families and genealogical data. Everyone there is so helpful and nice. Other family lines are: CUTHBERTSON, BROOM, RUSSELL, GINGLES, MORRISON, SIMPSON, BENTON, CONDER, ORR, GRIFFIN, HELMS, SECREST, PRESLAR/PRESSLEY, TRULL, WHITLEY, DEBERRY, and WISE. Anne Medlin Sendgikoski >> Hi Anne, I was born on Hamlet NC raised in Lumberton {about 25 miles from Red Springs} Had two 3rd cousins that were teachers there and am kin to some Morrisions from Robeson Co. {The teachers were Morrisons}. In 1962 I moved to Horry County. Myrtle Beach to be exact. I married a man that was born and raised near Wampee SC. I havent started researching his family yet. Maybe we have os information we could share. Ellen Causey TueTweety@AOL.COM
