Randy Godfrey _________________________________________________________________________ Summer Workshop to Focus on Records of Civil War Fighting Men On Saturday, July 10, 1999 the North Carolina Genealogical Society and the Olivia Raney Library will co-sponsor a workshop entitled "Rallying 'Round the Flag: Union and Confederate Fighting Men and Their Records". The full-day workshop will be conducted by Craig Scott, CGRS, a nationally-known speaker who specializes in military records in the National Archives. This workshop will focus on researching the records of soldiers, sailors and Marines who fought in the Civil War. The workshop will be held at the Commons Building at the Wake County Office Park on Carya Drive. Directions may be obtained by calling the Olivia Raney Library at (919) 250-1196. Registration will begin at 9:00 a. rn. Costs for the workshop are $25.00 for NCGS members and $30.00 for non-members. A box lunch is included in the fee.
