Anne, The lines you mention as those you are researching is interesting and includes at least four lines of my wife's: Williams, Cuthbertson, Broom, and Griffin. Her Williams line descends from Joseph Williams, (1737-1826) who migrated to the Wingate area prior to 1800 from eastern N.C.; his son Lemuel Williams (1789-1883) who married Rhoda Elizabeth Cuthbertson. She traces her Griffin line to Ollin Griffin (1806-187?) who was married to Olsie Broom. Do you have any information on the parents of Rhoda Cuthbertson, the parents of Ollin Griffin, and those of Olsie Broom? I hope I have not asked you this before, but I may have; if so, I apoligize. Thanks, Jim Smith ANNEMEDLIN@aol.com wrote: > I live in Maryland, was born in Horry County, SC, but grew up in Mebane, NC > and graduated from college in Red Springs, NC.
