I am Ken Eason. I live in Union County, NC as did my parents. Most of my line was in Union County when it was formed. I am not a Helms descendent, however, I have cousins, aunts and uncles in various greatness that have married into the Helms line. I saw someone's message a few days ago that they were in Union County Arkansas. They were descendents of the Haney's that moved from Union County, NC to Union County AK. I am a descendent of the Haney's that stayed behind. William "Billy" Spears Haney is my 3rd great-grandfather. His daughter Elizabeth Haney married Thomas Lee Eason. At the time of Elizabeth's death in 1906 their son John Eason was living in Union County, AK. This according to the Estate Papers of Elizabeth Haney Eason. John Eason died on October 29, 1945 in Union County, NC. Death certificate shows him as a widower. We have no record of any marriage or children. To the person in Union County, AK.
