Names found in ledger of Solomon V. Simons, Jr. who was a merchant in what was Mecklenburg Co, NC (now Union Co). Most of the listings are store accounts from July-Nov, 1831, with some miscellaneous records dating from 1831-1847. Zachariah Harris, account for Aug 6-Oct 18, 1831 Henry Harris, account for July 26-Oct 13, 1831 Polly Harris, account for Aug 4-Sept 27, 1831 Monroe-Enquirer (Union Co, NC) Saturday, February 8, 1879 -Died in Sandy Ridge township, January 12th of Consumption, Mr. Salathiel HARRIS, after a protracted illness of about 8 years, aged 75 years. He was an Englishman by birth, and an excellent miner.
