    2. Jim Griffin
    3. If someone has access to Union Co. marriage records around 1873-4 timeframe Would you be so kind as to give me a look-up for the marriage of William Ellis Griffin (son of William S. Griffin and Nepsy Brigman Griffin) and Clemmontine Phillips (parents unknown). Thanks Jim Griffin

    2. Fran Walker
    3. Hello fellow genealogists, I am researching the following lines: Elias Biggers b. about 1814 in Cabarrus Co. d. about 1855 in Anson Co., married Lucy Thomas, daughter of Jacob Thomas and Elizabeth Edwards. Their daughter, Louiza is listed in 1860 census in Union County. I have come to believe that Elias or Eli S. may be the son of John Stark Biggers and Susanah Petrie. Cary Pinkney Tolson b. January 31, 1810 in Anson County, later found in Union County, before moving to Cleveland County in AR where he died in 1871. I am particularly interested in learning who Cary's father was. A Toddy Tolson has been suggested. I believe his mother's name was Nancy. Cary married Lydia Ross born in 1811 in Anson Co. Her father was Dugal or Dougal Ross. If there are others descended from any of these lines I would like to compare notes. Fran Walker

    3. Ellie, I have Brigmans from Union Co. NC, my gggm was Nepsy Brigman b. census 1812 in NC according to the 1850 Union Co. NC census. I haven't been too sucessful finding anything later in Union Co. Some of us seem to think that Nepsy's brother is the John Brigman found living in t next dwelling near that of my gggf John Griffin in Lane's Creek area of Union Co. Maybe this will give you a place in NC to start looking. 3. Did your Elias or Ephaim Horn in Union Co. have a son James Horn born abt 1801 in NC. He and wife Mary Rose are living in Union Co. in Monroe in 1850. Children are George b. 1831, James Perry b. abt 1837 (married Emaline Smith and became sheriff of Union Co.), Eliza A. b. 10-20-1840 married William P. Smith, Rosanna H. b. abt 1842, Edmond Green b.abt 1846, and John W. b.1850. I have not been able to connect him to any of the other Horn/Hornes in Union Co. There is a James E. Horne on the 1870 census of Anson Co. His age is right but is living with a much younger women Elizabeth with 5 little children under 10. This could possibly be my James Horn. Do not know. 1. Re: [NCUNION] Merry Christmas
    2. MEMO FROM GOD: I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. It will be addressed in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it. If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege. Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return. Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children. Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk. Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine. Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity. Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be them!!!! Should you decide to send this to a friend; You might brighten someone's day!
