Hello, I am also looking for information on the Threatt family on Union Co., NC. From what I know My great great grandfather, Minor Melton married Fannie Frances Threatt; however, her tombstone reads Fannie I. Threatt Melton. Was Fannie a nickname? Was Frances her real name? What does the I stand for? Recently I spoke with a gentleman via e-mail, from Rockhill, SC, he has a lot of info on the Threatts' and filled in some blanks for me. I knew that Fannies' fathers name was John Threatt, he said his middle name was Wilson, and her mothers name was Emeline Arant. He also said that Johns' fathers name was Green Threatt, Jr. and his mothers name was Mary "Polly" West. If you have any additional info on this Threatt family, please e-mail me. Michael
Hello, I am looking for any information on Jefferson Maddison Taylor all dates are unknown and the middle name is questionable; however I do know that he and his wife were born in Union Co., NC. He married Nancy Ervie, her last name is questionable because I found it on their sons death certificate so it may have been wrong. Their son is my great great grandfather, James M. Taylor born in Lancaster co., 1 Dec 1871 and died 8 Mar 1940, I was able to find his death certificate at the state archives but not that of his wife Minnie K. possibly Knight, born 1 Oct 1874 and died 9 Apr 1940. Both are buried at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Lancaster Co., SC. The burial site for Jefferson and Nancy are unknown. If anyone has any info please e-mail me at [email protected] Thank you.

I sent a messaage to the Union list that I should not have. I apologize for the mistake. Dale
Is it possible to overrule the SC and make a motion to accept the vote count? Elizabeth clearly stated that the votes were going to be posted using a numerical identification system. I'm getting a little confused as to who is who on this project. The SC states one thing and now someone can make a motion, get a second and that's that? If so, what control does the SC have? Do I have the same privilege of making a motion, getting a second and whatever I desire to happen is accepted? Personally, I don't care who voted, how they voted or even why they voted. That's their business. It just seems totally unfair to make a statement then not follow through. With such as example, what do we believe? Dale Anson/Swain/Madison/Cabarrus/NCWarof1812
Do you have the 1900 union county census? I have been trying to locate the parents or parent of Whiteford Hilton. I think his mother was not married at the time of his birth. He was born in 1890 but the birth records were destroyed by fire. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sharon, I will do my best to fill you in on my relations to Jacob Wolfe (brother of my 4th great grandfather, Henry Wolfe). See below. The land originally granted to Phillip Wolfe by King George III is known today as "Krauswood" and is still maintained today in Union county. Phillip and his wife, Elizabeth Files, reared their ten children there and made a very prosperous living. Phillip and Elizabeth are buried at Krauswood. A moment has been dedicated to Phillip there. Phillip Wolfe was born in 1740 and died in 1817. He married Elizabeth Files in 1765. Phillip came to Philadelphia from Germany in 1760, and settled seven miles southwest of Monroe, NC (then Anson Co.), on the land mentioned above. Phillip was wounded at the battle of King's Mountain during the revolutionary war and was sent home (I assume he fought with the patriots). Their children were: Philip Wolfe Jr. md. Elizabeth Starnes George Wolfe md. a Davis Henry Wolfe md. Pamela Doster John Wolfe never md. Jacob Wolfe (1783-1853) md. Rachel Orr (1790-1872). I have photos of their graves if interested. Tobias Wolfe never md. Peter Wolfe md. Rebecca Rape Elizabeth Wolfe md. Peter Penniger Mary Wolfe md. Adam Fisher Conrad Wolfe (1791-1845) md. Katie Howard (1796-1861). I am a descendant of Jacob's brother Henry Wolfe, so I will continue with him and descendants of his that I am related to as I have no other information on the others. Henry Wolfe was born in 1775 and died in 1858. He married Pamela Doster (1775-1844) the d/o James Doster and Lydia Springer. Henry settled Krauswood and was a miller at Howard's Mill for twenty years. Pamela's family was from Wales. Pamela's youngest sister, Chloe, md. Capt. Thomas P. Dillon of the Army of England, the grandfather of T. P. Dillon. Henry and Pamela had the following children: John Wolfe (1787-1879) md. Elizabeth Howie (1806-1881) Polly Wolfe (1806-1881) md William Winchester Sampson Wolfe (1800-1885) md Mary Christenberrry, Mary Ezzell and Elizer Rosser (one after the other, not all at once) Rebecca Wolfe (1802-) md. William Howie Elizabeth Wolfe (1805-) md. Joshua Harris Adam F. Wolfe (1808-1902) md. Marhta Vincent and then Martha Rape Jimpse Wolfe (1810-1896) md. Amelia Crowell Rachel Wolfe (1812-) md. Samuel Howie Tobias Wolfe (1814-) md. Malissa Dunn and then Mary Cunningham George Wolfe (1816-) md. Mary Carnes Horton Wolfe (1820-) md. Nancy Cunningham Adam F. Wolfe (1808-1902) buried at Pleasant Grove Campground md. Martha Vincent (1st) born 1810, died 1883. There children were: Elizabeth Wolfe (1831-1893) md. J. Friedeman Sarah C. Wolfe (1833-1924) md. Thomas D. Wolfe William C. Wolfe md. Alice Yarbrough and then Laura Nesbitt Amelia Wolfe md. James Hawfield Mary Clementine Wolfe (1843-1918) md. William H. Krauss Samuel S. Wolfe md. Dora Winchester T. Julian Wolfe died at age 2. I have a photo of his grave. My line continues with Mary Clementine Wolfe and William Henry Krauss. Let me know if you want me to continue with them or if you have any questions. Sincere regards, William D. Thanks, Ruth. You are such a sweetheart. Someone did send this to me. I know, I have other death certificates, on this side too, that are incorrect. She married John H. Skipper January 15, 1868, in Mecklenburg Co., NC so she couldn't have been born in 1859. I guess whoever turned in her records to WFT sent in the wrong date. These people were old. Her husband, John Skipper, was b. 1831. I think she is the second wife because of the age difference and I have a John b 1831 that married Emeline Joyner Dec. 11, 1853 in Union Co., NC. Thanks for reading this if you do. I am forwarding it to the Kizzie (Kissiah/Keziah) list again and the Helms list again. Don't know where Darius, b 1825, belongs.
