    3. Charlene, I have looked at all the Williams families listed on the 1860 census of Union Co., I see none with a wife Rebecca or a son Alonzo Theodore (or any combination). 2. Does anyone have a copy of the 1860 census and could do a look up? I am looking for a WILLIAMS who had a wife Rebecca (possibly maiden name PHILLIPS) and son Alonzo Theodore b May 25, 1855 Union Co and possibly a brother named James Williams (witness listed on marriage cert). This has been such a dilemma in my research as it is told Alonzo took the maiden name of his mother PHILLIPS before Alonzo married Mary Elizabeth WINTERS in Burke Co. Rebecca apparently later married a HELMS removed to Alpine Glen. Thank you so very much from southern CA. Charlene Phillips

Sounds like very similar wording to todays message, almost close enough to be its clone. Hope it isnt some form of hacking or a virus that has got into the system. From Texas

    1. [NCUNION] Jackson Jefferson Taylor
    2. Hello, Recently I posted a query about Jefferson Taylor, and received a response from GHelms. He also suggested I direct my questions to Bill Helms. If any one else has information on Jefferson or Jackson Jefferson Taylor whose wife was Nancy Ervie/Irby, please e-mail me. Some info I received was : 1 A.J. Taylor 1824- +Leticia Unk 1829- 2 James M. Taylor 1846- 2 Mary Taylor 1847- 2 Jackson Jefferson Taylor 1849- +Nancy S. Irby 1847- 3 Margaret Taylor 1870-1958 +George Simeon Starnes 1871-1928 2 Jane Taylor 1849- 2 Margaret Taylor 1855- 2 William Taylor 1858 The question I have about this info, is that Jackson and his sister, Jane have the same birth year. Is this correct? Were they twins? It turns out I have a copy of the 1860 census, it contains the exact information I was given as far as the names of everyone in the family; however Jackson is listed only has Jefferson and he was 8 years old, Jane was listed as being 11 which supports her birth year as being 1849. If he were 8 years old at the time of the Census then he would have been born abt. 1852, then that would make his wife 5 years older than him. I know this is not impossible, but was it a common practice for that era? Does any one have info to support any of this? Please feel free to contact me at my e-mail address, [email protected], Thank you. Michael

    2. Hello, I was reading over the information you sent me on the Threatts/Meltons and I have a question. Recently I spoke with a man who lives in Rockhill, SC he is also researching the Threatt family and sent some information about them to me. His information and the information that I already had stated that John Threatt, 34 on the 1870 Census, was married to Emeline Arant, but the information you sent me indicates that John Threatt was married to a woman named Theressa. Would it be possible for you to help me figure this situation out? Hope to hear from you soon, thank you. Michael
