Can someone tell me exactly where Twelve Mile Creek is located? Is it connected to Rocky River? My WINCHESTER famlies owned land there. Thanks, JOY
Does anyone know about the family of Patrick McCorkle? He was born in Waxhaw ca 1795 and married Unity Bivens (granddaughter of Nathaniel Sr.) in 1815 in Mecklenburg Co. His parents were James and Hannah (unknown maiden name) McCorkle? Would like to know his mother's maiden name and how he connects to other McCorkles in the county. Patrick and Unity migrated to Marshall Co, TN.
Am also interested in the Secrest family-Ephriam & Serepta. Any hits?? Thanks!!
Ephriam was my gr gr grandfather. I have a lot of information on him and some on Serepta. Do you want to know the ancestors of Ephriam and Serepta or the descendents? Sandra Glenn dglenn5i17@aol.com

Anne, I am so sorry that you lost your hard drive. I lost mine about two years ago to a virus. I have not been in contact with you in the last few months, but I am doing work with the Williams, and would like to start with the Brooms and Cuthbertsons as all three lines are in my wife's background. I would especially like to know the parents of Rhoda Elizabeth Cuthbertson, wife of Lemuel Williams (1789-1883(?)) Also, I am seeking the parents of Olsie Broom, the wife of Ollin Griffin (est. 1806- 1870). Gool luck with your restoral. I recently found a family genealogy report in the public library with a well written history with many details including that they were Mayflower descendents. But I had a list of Mayflower descendents with a brief history of them. I compared and they didn't match. Their ancestor died without marrying or having children. I don't believe this was a deception by the family, but believe they were a victim of fraud. For your list of Mayflower descendents go to: http://members.aol.com/calebj/passenger.html Then go to: A transcription of Bradford's original passenger list can be viewed here. My daughter recently forwarded me a message about fraudulent lineages. America's First Families has a page devoted to this, giving the surnames and authors of the publications. http://www.linkline.com/personal/xymox/ then go to FRAUDULENT LINEAGES I hope this information will be of benefit. Ken
To Jim Smith, I don't have much on Lemuel Williams to give you. Here is all I have: 1. Rev. Joseph Williams +Martha Parrott 2. Lemuel Williams, 8/10/1787-2/26/1881, buried in Williams-Griffin Cemetery, Ansonville Rd., Union Co., NC + Elizabeth Cuthbertson, 1790-1837, d/o David and Janet Monteith Cuthbertson 3. Wilson Williams 3. Betty Jenette Williams 3. Easter Williams, 10/12/1810- 3. Elam C. Williams, 9/1/1813- 3. Coleman Williams, 8/22/1819- 3. Jonathan Williams, 1821- 3. Hannah Williams, 1826- 3. Josiah Williams, 10/1829- As for the Broom/Griffin marriage, I will have to dig out my Broom book and try to determine if there is an Olsie who married an Ollin Griffin in the mid-1800s. Thanks so much for responding. I do appreciate it. Anne
