    3. Looks like there might have been a father missing in my limited data -- no dates on most (and probably the reason for my problem material) and that this is Parrott Williams JR: Name: Williams,Parrott Birth: Place: Death: Place: Father: Mother: Spouse: Bennett,Clarky Spouse: Jenkins,Charity son: Bryant or Byrant Williams md: Dunn,Elizabeth some of the children and the only ones I have: John Madison Williams 1851 md. Clarissa Jane Nash b. 2 Jun 1854 Rebecca Ann or Becky Williams 1859 md. Benjamin H. Stegall b. 10 Dec 1849 Source: William Helms [M/Cp1c]: "Benjamin H.Stegall and Rebecca Ann Williams were married 2 Dec 1875 in Union Co.NC. by J.Trull Esq. (Marriage records of Union Co.) o She the d/o Bryant & Elizabeth ___ Williams and the gd/o Parrott & Charity Jenkins Williams. (J.Trull appears in many guises - J., Jona, Jonas, & Jonathon.)" and this from him as well: ". . . John Madison Williams is the s/o Byrant & Elizabeth Dunn Williams and the gs/o Parrott & Clarky Bennett Williams. (Don't know Elizabeth's parents). . . . ." Some materials I have were in William & Gerald's book [M/Cp1] "Helms Descendants, 1720 - 1991," Gerald C. Helms, Sara Myers, William E. Helms, Jr.; The Gregath Publishing Company; no date. Thanks so much and will be very interested in finding out what you think. Regards, K. McGee At 10:02 PM 10-05-99 EDT, you wrote: > Parrott Williams is the son of the Rev. 1. [NCUNION-L] OLD BIRTH DATES
    2. Hello Everyone: This is Bill Weddington. My continuing search for Surname information has a need to identify some old birthdates of relatives who were born in either Union or Mecklenburg Counties. All of the births were prior to 1910, but only back to about 1890. Can someone identify an on-line location which can identify this information. SSN data records does not work. At last resort, I would have to write to the State Bureau of Archives. Any help. Thanks, Bill W.

    3. There is a book titled, The Doster Genealogy by Mrs. Ben Hill in memory of her husband and completed by Wadsworth Doster. The copyright is 1945. From that secondary record, I have the following in my file: Chloe Doster was born about 1786 in what is now Buford Township, Union County, NC. She first married Vangal (Solomon) Simons who died about 1820. She married second Tom Dillon. Chloe Doster was the sixth child of James Doster and Lydia Springer. James Doster was born 14 August 1735 near Winchester, VA and died ca 1818 in what is now Union County. Her mother was Lydia Springer who James Doster married about 1764. James Doster has a will filed in Mecklenburg County, Will Book C, page 39. James Doster was the son of Thomas Doster, emigrant, who was born about 1695 and died ca 1748. Thomas Doster came from Wurttemberg and settled in German Town, PA. He left a will which is filed in Will Book 1, Circuit Court of Frederick County, Va. In the Heritage Book prepared by CGS, there is a article about Chloe Doster marrying Thomas P. Dillon. I do not have a personal connection with DOSTERs, DILLONs or SIMONS. This is information that I had collected and thought I would pass to you. Good luck with your research. -----Original Message----- From: Marie Parks <mpjx@nbank.net> To: NCUNION-L@rootsweb.com <NCUNION-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, May 04, 1999 3:59 AM Subject: Re: [NCUNION-L] local residents >Hello, >I just picked up your message. 2. For those of you who live in Monroe and know Simon Wentz, he is fighting for his life with bone cancer. He helped me and my CO cousin find some very key parts and pieces to our very messed up KING line at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery...just a few years ago. We have never met him, but know from the "many" phone calls that he is a really nice person... Please keep him in your thoughts. Simon will know in three months whether he will make it or not... dawn in warm AZ....

    3. I have a photo of Lon Hasty and Maud(e) Thomas. Looks to be from the early 1900's. I have a Maude Thomas who married Clyde Floyd- although the were married in 1937 and this photo looks to be much earlier. I'm looking for clues. The photo came from my grandmother who was a Floyd who married a Holmes. I also have two Maness' who married Hastys - so I believe the connection is there I just haven't figure itout. If you have any ideas and would like to see the photo I can e-mail you. Thanks Mary
