    3. The Historical Society hired a dendrochonologist to help deterine when the house was built. The basic concept is to take a sample of wood and check the tree rings against nearby wood of a known age. Wednesday when I was hangin' down at archives, they had just received the initial findings over the phone. 1816 The tree was still growing in 1815 before is was chopped down and used to build a wall.
