    3. I've gone professional - but there is a reason. Transylvania, like most counties, does not have staff to do research for out of town folks. We did have one lady in the Reg of Deeds office doing a little bit of research on her own time, but she is retiring. What used to happen is folks would get a letter saying to hire a professional. Now I have learned that they are sending this plus my name (I guess since I hang out there so much). We used to have a professional genealogist, but she died. This all means that if you live in say Texas and need some local documentation on say some Deavors you have to hire a lawyer. And I really have no personal desire to research Deavors since I'm not connected to them (Amazing. eh?). I was discussing this with the new local Archives Chairman and we concluded that my offering some professional services would be beneficial. Anyway, charges will only be for very in depth research of local government documents. I'm still friendly. And I'll still be posting free stuff as fast as I can.
