I put a few maps up at "http://ncnatural.com/maps/". Of the four in that directory, probably the best ones are "1820roads.jpg", "paths&towns.jpg" and "ethnic.jpg". They're all pretty large files because I wanted to retain the detail. "1820roads.jpg" shows the main routes of travel in eastern America along with areas of settlement to 1820. "paths&towns.jpg" shows most of the Indian towns, white settlements and roads large and small in use from 1660 to 1775. "ethnic.jpg" shows the main routes that various nationalities traveled into the state. Hope these will make it a little cleare for everyone. And while I'm posting, does anyone have any info on Elmer Andrew Stewart who married 3/14/1880 in Iredell Co., Sarah Banner Washam? They lived in the area from Mooresville to Huntersville in Mecklenberg Co. there children included Mac, Bertha, Nellie, Hylie, Fred, Jack and Andrew Doyt, born 10/12/1896 in Huntersville. Also researching Morrow, Thompson, Mayhew, Day and Barkeley. cheers, Tim Treadwell ==== ROWANROOTS Mailing List ==== The purpose of this list is the discussion of "Old Rowan" genealogy and history.
