Family Tradition, heard through many sources, says he settled there when he put his bed under an oak tree there one summer. They lived there while he built his house. Once the house was built, many Indians would visit the area frequently and borrow their pots to ccok in - always washing them before they were returned. Esther's middle name was Marilza (Sp?).
