Linda, I have been researching kin who fought in the War Between the States. My ggg-grandmother Patsy Caroline Whitmire Bagwell, had a nephew who served in the same unit as my ggg-grandpa James Adolphus Bagwell. His name is James Marion Owen. He was a lieutenant in Co. K, 62nd NC Inf. Would you happen to have any info on Lt. Owen? I believe he is a great grandfather of a friend of mine Angie Hoxit Loftis of Pickens, SC. You sent her a pension record of a Conf. soldier. I think his name was Jim Hogsed but I'm not sure. Could you tell me the relationship of this man to Angie? Shes not really sure who he is. While doing research I found two Hogsed soldiers from Transylvania County. I don't know if they were brothers but they both joined Co. E, 25th NC Inf. on 15 June 1861. Their names were Walter L. Hogsed who was 31 when he enlisted and the other was William P. Hogsed who was 36. Walter was killed at Malvern Hill, Va. on 1 July 1862 and William was discharged shortly after, on July 16. Do either of these names ring a bell? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Ronnie Bagwell
