Rumor has it that Mary Adams is Elizabeth's mother. No one has sorted out which Owens is her Daddy. She and Isaac are bured behind their house somewhere in Rosman. Tradition says the house was built by the Cherokee. Ruth Bump found the couple in Soco Gap (home of Eastern Band of Cherokee these days) about 1813. But I just found Isaac in the area in Oct 1813 so if he was in Soco, it was one of those short trips associated with the Walton War. Their settlement account reported Dec term 1858 Estate sale inventory 30OCT1856 Included 7 books - none specified as a Bible. Whole account $478.14 3/4 W.W. Anderson & Giles Glazenr Jr owed money to Isaac. Described as "Doubtful accounts" Find it odd that only the gals got stuff? Well, In Cherkee Culture that is the way it works - matrilineal culture, all property goes through the mother.
