I have all the Henderson and Transylvania Census except the 1870 for Henderson County in typed form. John Owens and Lavinia (various spellings) appear in 1850 and 1860 Henderson County and the 1870 mentioned. In the Bishop transcription of the 1870 census of Trans. County HH #57 is thus: OWENS, L. (Lerceda??) (f), 27, NC, Sarah 10, David 7, William 4, John 2. I also have Henderson County marriages and I could not find an Owens marriage that fit the time frame.
