Linda I strongly suspect that the widow with the four children is Prescilla Banther.She had a daughter with Rufus Ansel in 1860.She also had a son in 1863.Her daughter was named Sarah and her son was David.As you know Rufus Ansel was killed in the cival war.I have been told that some of the other brothers of his felt that it was their duty to take care of her and see to her needs.One thing about those Owen boys,they take certain duties quite seriously.Anyway she wound up with two more children and had to move to Tennessee.One of the boys [either Wahington or Houston followed her and lived with her in Tennessee.They apparently were out of favor with the family and neither one ever returned to claim any inheritance.Sounds like a love connection in there somewhere.
