Hi fellow listmates I told you I would share with you what my brother Danny found in the LDS records,so here goes. He did not find a lot on the Right family,but did find some interesting stuff on the Owen family.Remember that all LDS material is only as accurate as whoever submits it,so this will give all some exciting info to either prove or disprove.Before I list this stuff let me share with you a decision which we made after this last weekends research.First let me give you a little more background on who I am talking about when I say we.Besides my brother and me we have a real dyed in the wool geneologist on our team.She is our aunt Fredna Merideith,who is my dads sister.She has spent the last 30 years researching the Owen and related families.In her endeavors she has traveled to over 25 different states,including North Carolina amassing a virtual library of info.Some of the other geneologists she has visited with over the years,are Elizabeth Barton,Walter Cox,Jerry Taylor,Vernon Luce,Winnie Kroplenicki,Bonnie Waldier,Lib Tinsly and many others of the older generation.We just last weekend met Lala Stinecipher from Oklahoma who has spent almost 30 years researching Owen and related families.Even aunt Fredna was surprised by the amount of info she has collected.Now that we have that established here is what we have decided. This is strictly a personal decision and we don't expect everyone to see it this way,but that is the great thing about geneology,it is constantly evolving and is always dynamic.We have decided,mostly from some information we have on the Glazner family,to for the present put John Owen Sr on a safe shelf and not forget him[especially if he turns out to be our ancestor]and to accept James Owen and Anna Right as our rightful ancestors. We have many pieces of this puzzle to put together and welcome any input either for or against this.Now for the rest of the story.This is from LDS records,not us so have fun with it.
