One should hopefully be married into the early and extremely confusing Patterson Family and had a son named Jesse & a son named Samuel. I would favor Peter since he is in the eastern section and listed 2 folks down from Pheobe Dunn who was originally one of the early and extremely confusing Pattersons. James is the western part is in the right place and right time to be John's daddy which really doesn't mean anything other than we should check him out. Also found something interesting while flipping through Transylvania Beginnings. Very very early on, say pre 1820, in the activities involved in the formation of Cathey's Creek Baptist Church Rev Benjamin King preached at variuos people's houses and baptised folks. One revival was under a poplar tree on Esquire Paxton's farm where the following folks were baptised: Sallie Gillespie Betsie Reed Peggy Hooper Jonathan Siniard Peggy Siniard John Aiken John Galloway Jr Betsie Galloway Vicey Nicholson Sallie Aiken Another revival was held at Robert McMinn's house where these folks were baptised: Peggy Davis William Gillespie Robert H Gillespie Anna Owen Pheba Burrell Hannah New Joshua Scalf Issac & William Galloway Surry Galloway Esther Glazener Surry Glazener David Hadden Millie Gillespie -- Linda Hoxit Raxter lraxter@citcom.net See Indexed Western North Carolina Cemetery Surveys http://www.geocities.com/~alextreehouse related to at least half the county - at least once ; ) --------------5CE1C3365D0F40DC918B3268--
