Owen who married Isaac Glazner was > the sister of John (sr)? Talk about confused! I thought John (land-grant) Owen was as far back as anyone knew about. Now - if I'm understanding the two of you - the good news is that John (Sr?) had known parents and the bad news is that the John a lot of us are descended from wasn't necessarily the son of the earlier one. Is that what you're saying? Wasn't the John Owen in the Cathey Creek church records married to Anna? So he was in the mountains, but maybe without the land-grant? If so, the senior-junior connection would still be possible. Rather have grandparents for John, Jr., than a lost inheritance anyway. Gordon Owen
