I swear I thought I was kidding when I told Shawna we should take my car because her's had Michigan plates. Shawna failed to mention the details of the location of the little log cabin (yes it was a historical structure, moved from down the road - proabably still Owen, though not the Owen we were hoped had lived there). It was down a four wheel drive road that I took my little corolla down - Past the SHOOTING RANGE in EXCELLENT CONDITION. After we got Aunt Bobbie, Aunt had enough sense to check in the little house that was closer to the cemetery than we had realized where we were told the tale of the Caddie with Florida plates that showed up looking for the cemetery because it was listed as a "Historic Site". Thank heavens we had taken my car!!! Also managed to get a few chiggers while looking for the cemetery - before Aunt Bobbie. Alex insisted on blackberries while we tromped throught the woods. Couldn't make "Queen Shawna" pick them, now could I? When I get the cemetery posted and have the comment "Access heavily restricted" just trust me on that one, okay. At least we didn't find any snakes. -- Linda Hoxit Raxter lraxter@citcom.net See Indexed Western North Carolina Cemetery Surveys http://www.geocities.com/~alextreehouse related to at least half the county - at least once ; )
