Washington Green Sr is my GGGG Grandfather. I don't list a James M. Green m to Sarah James on my tree. How do you relate to GWG? Unfortunately, I live in Central NC so doing a Green family reunion in SW NC would be very difficult logistically. I could help (flyers, letters, computer stuff) but it would really need someone there to set up a place to meet, arrange blocks of hotel rooms, stuff like that. Maybe after I retire in a few years, but in the meantime, keep your ears open. Thanks, Bill

I believe you will find that Oconoluffte is in the Cherokee Indian Reservation rather than Cherokee Co. The river that runs through the Cherokee Indian Reservation is the Oconoluffte River. Speaking of names, an affidavit by N.A. Pilkington in TVA records relating to the Pilkey cemetery on the North Shore states "that the names Pilkerton, Pilkenton, Pilkinton, and Pilkington is the same name, and all of the names are used by the Pilkington family." Some information on this cemetery, and on other North Shore cemeteries, is available on line in the Cemetery Decoration Study that was done as part of the North Shore Road EIS - http://www.northshoreroad.info/deisvolumes/volumeII_appendices/appendixg /appendixg.pdf. see also: http://www.alanjabbour.com/cemetery_decoration_project.html -----Original Message----- From: daveyoung@frontiernet.net [mailto:daveyoung@frontiernet.net] Sent: Tuesday, November 28, 2006 8:45 AM To: ncswain-l@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NCSWAIN] Swain County Cemeteries This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
