Because your email message was routed thru the 'gateway', there is no way I know of to contact you directly. Sorry that I can't accomodate your request. I wonder if you can help me understand your acronym SCHB? I have a photo of his tombstone which I took. Graves are buried on the side of a steep hill. I don't think my knees could handle that again. I'm glad I took the pictures I did when I hunted them down a couple of years ago. Best Regards, D. Tammy, It appears that we are related through the Mills family, as i'm descended from Reuben Mills who was a brother of your ancestor Thomas Mills...I'm curious to know if there is a oral tradition of Indian descent in your line of descent from the Mills family ? My friend is a Brendle descendant. He is a Johnson, of Grassy Branch Rd., whose mother was Charlotte Catherine Lindsay, daughter of Anne Elizabeth Smiley and David Siler Lindsay. Anne Elizabeth was the daughter of Annie Brendle and Jesse Madison Smiley. Annie Brendle, daughter of Charlotte R. H. Williams and John David Brendle, was, I believe, an aunt of David Barton Brendle. Actually, I was first a friend of Mr. Johnson's son...we were high school classmates in Michigan a hundred years ago...well, maybe half a hundred, but it feels like a hundred. Mr. Johnson is back in NC living in his birth home in Bryson City. Mixed into the Johnson tree is another friend I made many years back while doing the research. She is a Gas(s)away by birth, her mother's surname, her father was a Totherow, which is where a few Cunninghams mix in, though she is not a descendant of the Cunninghams. Her surnames also include Mason, Grant, Ramey, Welch, Stillwell, Shope, Truitt, Wilson...etc.. Back to the Johnson line. Mr. Johnson is also a Teague and a He(a)dden. In the Headden segment there are Hicks and Hawkins married in, and that is where Pauline M. Fuller shows up. Her son Huber Lyle (b. 1866, Twinsburg, OH, d. 1949, Buncombe Co., NC) married Belzora Caroline Hicks (b. 1877). I think there are Cunninghams married in hither and thither in this tree as well. I would imagine, given the birth year of her son Huber, she might show up as a daughter in some census record in 1850. At 03:53 PM 4/9/2008, you wrote: >I think that I can help you. I think that I can help you. How is your friend tied into the Fuller Family? Maggie Fuller is the daughter of John Bingham Fuller and Marinthia Adele Cunningham, my great grandfather. Their son, Charles Thomas "Tom" Fuller was my grandfather. His daughter, Hester Elizabeth Fuller Perry is my mother. John Bingham Fuller is the son of Samuel P. Fuller and he is as far back on the Fuller side tht I have been able to go. His wife, Marium Leathers' family has been extensively researched and goes way back. I have the data on that, however, it is the research of others. Maggie Fuller, b. September 13, 1875 in NC, d. November 5, 1902 in Swain County, NC. Married David "Bars" Barton Brendle, b. March 21, 1878 in Judson, NC (I may have his date of death, however, it is not in my database so I will have to look) They had at least 2 children, Etta Woodard Brendle, b. February 22, 1897 and Ralph C. Brendle, b. September 5, 1899. That is all that I have on that family except that David's father was John Harrison Brendle, b. March 24, 1841 in Rutherford County, North Carolina and died July 30, 1929 married Elizabeth Chastain, b. 1805. I don't have any of Bars siblings. I don't have anything on Pauline Fuller or Alfred Hawkins. How are they tied in to the family? Carol, I have a good bit more on this family that I would be happy to share. > > Carol McCrellias > Rochester/Honeoye Falls, NY > > > Descendants of John Bingham Fuller > > > Generation No. 1 > > 1. First let me say that none of us list administrators had a say in this change for mailing lists or the pages at USGENWEB, so though it may be awfully tempting to shoot the messenger please refrain in doing so. The almost entire explanation of what is going to happen as of Monday can be found here: http://bigfile.rootsweb.com/newsroom/ RootsWeb Announcement March 13th, 2008 by Tim As you know, The Generations Network has hosted and funded the RootsWeb online community since June 2000, thereby maintaining RootsWeb as the worlds oldest and largest free genealogy website. TGN remains committed to this mission and believes that RootsWeb is an absolutely invaluable and complementary resource to Ancestry.com, our flagship commercial family history site. We believe in both services and want to see both communities prosper and grow. As part of this goal, we have decided to transplant RootsWeb onto the Ancestry.com domain beginning next week. This move will not change the RootsWeb experience or alter the ease of navigation to or within RootsWeb. RootsWeb will remain a free online experience. What will be different is that the Web address for all RootsWeb pages will change from www.rootsweb.com to www.rootsweb.ancestry.com. Again, the RootsWeb experience is not changing. The decision to host RootsWeb on Ancestry.com is being made for one primary reason: we believe that the users of each of our two main websites can be better served if they have access to the best services available on both. Simply stated, we want to introduce more Ancestry.com users to RootsWeb and vice versa. Today, despite the fact that Ancestry.com and RootsWeb.com are the two most frequently visited family history sites on the Web, only 25 percent of visitors to Ancestry.com visited RootsWeb in January 2008, while only 20 percent of visitors to RootsWeb visited Ancestry.com (according to Comscore Media Metrix). We think we will serve our users best by doing a better job of letting them know what is available on both Ancestry.com and RootsWeb. Hosting RootsWeb on Ancestry.com is the first step towards making this happen, but we will absolutely look for more and better ways down the road to advance this goal. Hosting RootsWeb on Ancestry.com will also make it easier for us to make changes and improvements to the RootsWeb experience in the future. All old RootsWeb URLs will continue to work, whether they are bookmarks or favorites, links to or from a hosted page or URLs manually typed in your Internet browser. We will have a redirect in place so that all old URLs will automatically end up on the appropriate new RootsWeb URL. You will never need to update your old favorites or links unless you want to. We have worked to make the transition as seamless as possible for our users, and this change should have a minimal impact on your experience with the site. RootsWeb will remain a free online experience dedicated to providing you with a place where our community can find their roots together. If you have questions regarding this change please email them to feedback@rootsweb.com. Thanks, Tim Sullivan CEO The Generations Network, Inc. The address for the mailing list(s) will not change addresses, but if this changes at all I will certainly inform y'all. As soon as I see the new archive web site address I will post it in an e-mail Monday. Sincerely, Lena --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals?
