It's my understanding that Jonathan is the grandson of Samuel J. Freeman. The picture was not dated (I received it digitally) and the person that sent me the picture knew nothing about it, other than he thought the fellow holding the pillow was Jonathan. In my database I have him born in 1892 in North Carolina. That's all the info I have, other than his parents were John A. and Nancy (Morgan) Freeman. John A.
