Royce: Yes there are Lowes in Low Gap. My relatives are there. I'm not sure if the origin of the name has anything to do with the family (probably not). There are many, many Lowes in both Surry Co., NC and Grayson Co., VA. I have many Goodson, Carson and other relatives that married Lowes. It seems to be impossible to figure out how all the Lowes are connected. So far I have not found an Abraham Lowe. Wish I could be of more help. Jeanene
